CANADIAN INTERNATIONAL AIR SHOW
CANCELS FLIGHTLINE ’98
TORONTO – The Canadian International Air Show announced
today the cancellation of FLIGHTLINE ’98, the organization’s static display at
Pearson Airport.
Members of the Board came to this difficult decision after
much consideration regarding funding and future projects.
"Since we became an independent body from the CNE a few
years ago, funding has been a challenge," explained Don Duthie, President, CIAS.
"Since it’s our 50th anniversary next year, we’ve decided to
reserve our funds and dedicate them to next year’s activities."
Last year’s FLIGHTLINE ’97 hosted approximately 30
military aircraft at Pearson, offering the public unparalleled access to modern jet power
and crews.
